I have a wireless USB adapter that works fine until I set the wired LAN to a static IP address without specifying a gateway. Both connections say their connected and the USB adapter sees the wifi router fine. If I change the ethernet port to DHCP then the printer no longer works.

I am not able to connect the printer to the router directly because the router is in a nearby store. The printer is a large format MUTOH ValueJet for printing signs and auto wraps. It needs a static IP address.

Thanks for any assistance!
