Hello,

Does any one know anything about facebook?

I have a facebook account and only had like about 3 months.

but they have blocked my account.

And When I logged in I could not get into my account

Only way they will let me back in to my account is if I send them my personal info.

They asked me to send them a photo ID

and A gov ID and

anything that had my birthdate

and photo attached.

My account already had my correct birthday listed on my facebook page.

and yet they ask me to send them a copy of my photo

along with my correct birthdate.

I think it is a scam.

for them to ask me to send them my personal info.

What do you think?

Did they ask you for personal information right after you logged in?

I'm asking this because Facebook recently started a witch hunt for people that do not have their real names for their main Facebook name - anyone with names not considered *legit* will be locked out of their accounts until they can provide their real name to Facebook. I was spared because I changed to my real name in November last year.

If Facebook directly asked you for your ID after you logged in and not via a mail, chances that you fell into the situation I said above.

What was the reason they did not let you back in?

I don't know why I got locked out think it was like you said maybe.

My info was not good enogh.

But my name is listed as correct.

and so is my birthdate listed as correct.

When I tried to log back in with my password they said your acct is blocked.

I even changed my password and that did not work.

I only know when I reply on a post that was sent to me by another facebook person.

it shows my name as being correct.

There should be an option to contact Facebook support. Otherwise I'm out of ideas.

and they said same thing.I have to give them a list of my personal info before they will let me into

my account.

If your account was blocked for security reasons by Facebook, I don't think that just "waiting it out" will work, you'll have to provide them the information they are asking for to prove that you are the original owner of the account and that it's yours. It's the same thing with Paypal and limited payments. You have to prove ownership via a credit card or a bank account. While it looks "suspicious", it's mostly to prevent identify fraud and theft, hence why they are doing that.
