Recently I have received a warning "This copy of windows is not genuine" on my desktop. Why did I get this and what does it mean?

Hi liberts :)

This message appears when the activation of your Windows product fails and therefore it warns you that you are using a non-activated version of Windows, which means it's not "genuine". Do you still have your Windows Vista product key? Did it come with your computer/laptop or did you buy it separately?
