Acer Aspire won't boot up

I have an Acer Aspire 603G desktop which was purchased on Dec. 14, 2014 running Windows 8.1. We have a wireless network and use Kaspersky 2015 Internet suite. If we hit the 'delete' to access the start-up re-boot menu the screen shows a never-ending download symbol. At one point, we were able to get to the re-set and do a system restore - but the computer froze. Now, it wants us to do a re-boot via a device. Unfortunately, my husband didn't make a rescue disk.


Any suggestions would be great.


It worked fine yesterday then it appears that a Windows update was installed about 0330 am. From that moment, the system won't come on. We tried

The following links may assist with your Acer issues
You may want to try a Windows refresh or a factory reset if your computer is unable to boot into Windows. Use the following steps to to launch Windows Automatic Repair.
1. Hold the Power Button for 5 seconds or until the computer completely shuts off.
2. Press the Power Button to turn the computer on.
3. As soon as you see the rotating loading circle, press and hold the Power Button until the computer shuts off.
4. Repeat this process 2 or 3 times until you see the Preparing Automatic Repair screen.
5. Let the computer boot to the Automatic Repair screen.
6. Click Advanced Options, and then select Troubleshoot.
7. Select Refresh your PC if you do not wish to erase data, or Reset your PC to erase all data and restore the system.
8. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete recovery.
OR to access Recovery Partition try .. 
Press the power button on the computer to turn it back on.
Immediately press the "ALT" and "F10" keys simultaneously once the Acer boot screen flashes on the screen.
Type "000000," then press "Enter" to access the recovery partition.
If you have a Product key you can create a new install disk from the following M$ link
