Hi been trying to find out what is the problem but here it is, i did a clean install of windows 8.1 for my spare laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro L500-EZ1530 but after the initial windows automatic update, the restart hangs at the windows logo for a few minutes and it goes to the startup repair menu, i've tried all the options on the repair menu and also tried reinstalling the windows 8.1 several times and even set a restore point so i don't have to keep starting over with the install and it would say windows cannot be restored. This only happens after it performs an update, so i have the automatic update disabled at the moment. I was going to try and disable each update and see which one is causing the problem but that means i'd probably have to reinstall windows at least a dozen times and that would be a pain. anyone ever have problems with the first windows update after doing a clean install of windows 8.1?
