Having   instances of csrss.exe in the task manager is normal , and running (2  csrss.exe is normal as well ) But i double checked how many copies of file i have on my system by going to Command prompt and typed ( Dir csrss.exe /s) it shows only one while in my task manager there are 2 running csrss.exe and they are both have the exact command line !! , my anti virus couldn't detect it , however few days ago it gave me a warning to disconnect any device and shut down the system , and so i did but after that there was nothing until i start to notice multiple process running . any help or information about this issue please.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Welcome to BC !

This could be poweliks. Eset will find and remove in less than 2 minutes if it is.

Please download Powelikscleaner (by ESET) and save it to your Desktop.

  • Double-click ESETPoweliksCleaner.exe to start the tool.
  • Read the terms of the End-user license agreement and click Agree if you agree to them.
  • The tool will run automatically. If the cleaner finds a Poweliks infection, press the Y key on your keyboard to remove it.
  • If Poweliks was detected "Win32/Poweliks was successfully removed from your system" will be displayed. Press any key to exit the tool and reboot your PC.
  •
  • Please let us know if poweliks is found and removed as shown in bottom image.

Okay....use the programs below to find and remove adware and malware.

Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files, program caches, cookies, logs, etc. Use the Default settings. No need to use the

Registry Cleaning Tool...risky. Pay close attention while installing and UNcheck offers of toolbars....especially Google.

After install, open CCleaner and run by clicking on the Run Cleaner button in the bottom right corner.

CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Scan button.
  • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
  •

  • download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message
  •
  •
  • Hold down Control and click on this link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
  • Click the esetonlinebtn.png button.
  • For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
  • Click on esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the esetsmartinstaller_enu.png icon on your desktop.
  • Check "YES, I accept the Terms of Use."
  • Click the Start button.
  • Accept any security warnings from your browser.
  • Under scan settings, check "Scan Archives" and "Remove found threats"
  • ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
  • When the scan completes, click List Threats
  • Click Export, and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
  • Click the Back button.
  • Click the Finish button.
  • NOTE:Sometimes if ESET finds no infections it will not create a log.

Hello ,

Thank you for standing by me , I did what you told me in the last replay and it was crazy !! I've never encountered something like this , whenever I download any application and try to run it my computer freezes !! then on again and it seems to me that the virus or whatever it is controlling the anti virus program , because after the computer freezes  I run it again and strange that it runs in speed 1 million miles and goes like nothing found !! but the malware bite found PUP , mystartsearch and recently some file I don't know what they are (wpdlog00.sqm / wpdlog01.sqm / wpdlog02.sqm and the Adobe reader which I tried to uninstall it but I couldn't !!  I am sure there are a lot  of these things in my system , my anti virus software is useless now , any scan I ask for it perform it in less than a minute with nothing found , oh my God this thing is driving me crazy !.

thank you for your time and help very much.

Not sure about what you report. But if you are unable to download or run the scans then I suggest you boot into safe mode with networking.

Then attempt to run the scans.

You can use Revo Uninstaller Free to remove programs. Use in Advanced mode. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware

Do you have access to another computer? If so, you can download the programs to a flash drive or CD and then move them to the infected computer.

But first try Safe Mode with Networking.

Hello ,

Actually Revo solved most of the problem by uninstalling some programs including Chrome , and I did boot into safe mode with networking and run the programs and each time it came the same result the same files still infected which means my computer is infected for a long time with more than 4 malware and viruses which lead me to final result is to reboot my system using the recovery CD, I think this is the only way will makes me feel better instead of wasting your time . and thank you very very much for your help , wish you all the best .

cheers.

Sounds like a plan...a clean reinstall does get rid of malware and give peace of mind.

Your're welcome.
