I know just enough about my computer to be a real danger to it. I've had my Dell/Windows XP for about a year and a half and have just ordered a Laptop. I am so excited cause it will give me freedom to sit somewhere else  and it has a DVD player in it...which we don't have.

Mostly I have learned from trial and error and have done a little reading of the techncial stuff....as a last resort! With my laptop due to come in about a week, I'd like to learn how to clear up some irritations/problems with my computer understanding before it gets here.

I'm a boring computer user. I like to do Bible Studies on it, I'm a news-aholic, I love looking at the photography sites, I rarely do games....mostly l like to read, read, read...just not how to do my computer!

I never call it a "bleeping" computer cause I just love it! But when I click something, I want it to work! :flowers:

Computers and the internet have opened the world of knowledge (and mis-knowledge as well) to a huge audience, and the significance of this is just beginning to be felt. One small part of this world is computer knowledge at places like BC.
Welcome to this great user community!

John

Hi all,

A recommended tutorial brought me to this site and I like what I see - so had to join. After all... have a computer - have a problem. I'm looking forward to spending some time here learning and sharing a thing or two.
