My desktop & bar icons are not showing up after i messed up with regedit.exe and deleted some keys instead of letting Adwcleaner clean them up because i didn't want to restart my computer . I ran scans with anti malware tools and I left them to remove what they found. I ran sfc /SCANNOW too and it doesn't works . I tried even restarting in safe mode and that doesn't works  too. Can you please tell me how to fix it up?

press Windows button and x simultaneously to bring up menu, use arrow keys and tab key to navigate menus, select Control Panel and from there System from there System Protection.

or if you can open a search box, just type "system restore"

Do you remember which keys you deleted? This is a longshot question. If you say YES I will fall out my chair in shock.

There should be a backup of the registry in C:\windows\system32\config\regback. If you do not have a restore point we can look and see if these are current.

Edit: If you can get to the task manager using ctrl + alt + Del or ctrl + shift + ESC select File then run new task. Type rstrui in the run box and press enter. This will start system restore.
