I saw this article, it is a couple of days late to be an April fools day prank. http://www.wired.com/2015/04/microsoft-open-source-windows-definitely-possible/


Headline says source is MS, but in the article only source appears to be Russinovich, who probably doesn't speak for MS in any official capacity.

Interesting. I don't think it would be in Microsoft's best interest to go open source, at least no the way things are currently, and doubt it will ever happen.
