Hello,

It looks like you've lost your explorer.
What happens when you type explorer as a new task in taskmanager?

can you also check if C:\Windows\explorer is still present?

Ok, perform next..

Download Silent Runners
Unzip it to a permanent folder.
Start SilentRunners.vbs
When your antivirus is giving an alert, do not block this. Allow the script.
Please wait until it prompts you the scan is finished!
Copy and paste the content of the txtfile you get afterwards in your next reply.

Hmm, strange.

I thought that Silent Runners also showed bad entries if present under the Image File Execution Options-key, but I am not sure here.

By the way, does Internet explorer work?

Anyway, I'll let you run a tool anyway - it actually deals with a certain type of infection (not present in your case), but it fixes the Image File Execution Options key if there is a debugger loading under the explorer.exe and iexplore.exe. The log will show anyway.

But first, let's fix in hijackthis:

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
O2 - BHO: Google Toolbar Helper - {AA58ED58-01DD-4d91-8333-CF10577473F7} - c:\program files\google\googletoolbar2.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: &Google - {2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F} - c:\program files\google\googletoolbar2.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [seekmo] "c:\program files\seekmo\seekmo.exe"

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Fixing above entries won't solve your problem though..

Then download next tool:

http://users.pandora.be/bluepatchy/miekiemoes/tools/FixO.exe

Doubleclick FixO.exe and choose install.
This will create a new folder called FixO
Browse to that folder via new task in taskmanager, Open the folder and doubleclick FixO.bat

It will generate a log afterwards. Copy and paste the contents of that log in your next reply.

By the way, since when did this happen? Did you uninstall or installed something previousy? Or updated something?

Ok, those keys were indeed not present.

Well, I want an exact explanation how this exactly happened... So you were trying to play a game Warcraft 3? You stopped the program and suddenly your explorer didn't load anymore and your Internet explorer didn't work anymore? Is this what happened?
The more detailed info you can give me, the better I can help you.

I just googled some sites where warcraft 3 is mentioned and it looks like explorer.exe and internet explorer crashing is a common issue.

Ok, i was gonna start playing Warcraft 3 but it froze. So i went to end it. But instead of ending Warcraft 3 i ended Explorer then i ended Warcraft 3 but when i tried to start up explorer it didn't work. Well it did work but it went down straight away and internet explorer wouldn't work.

Strange, really strange.

Do you get any errors as well?
Did you already try to start in safe mode and do you have the same problem there?

Also, can you perform next as well?

Go to next site:
http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html
On top you'll find 'Browse'
Click the browse button and browse to next file:

C:\Windows\System32\wininet.dll

Click open.
Then click the 'Send' button next to it.
This will scan the file. Please be patient.
Once scanned, copy and paste the results in your next reply.
