Everything seems fine.

  • Motherboard and CPU are both LGA 775
  • Motherboard has a PCIe slot for your GPU

It didn't list what type of RAM the motherboard takes on the Gigabyte page, just make sure it's DDR3 (which it should be).

You could try test builds with PcPartPicker http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/, they use a compatibility filter which limits your choices to those that are compatible with what you have already selected.

I am not sure how well it works regarding RAM, as I have seen their compatibility filter be OK with RAM choices not mentioned on motherboard sites or RAM manufacturer sites. Maybe PcPartPicker is more knowledgeable on the subject, maybe there is something dumbass-tic about their filter on this particular subject. I dunno which.

Use caution with PCPartPicker.  Having the site generate a list of recommended parts is not a substitute to doing a little research, and, unless you use their filters, they can send you to multiple retailers which may not always be in your best interest.

The motherboard, RAM, and CPU are compatible,  The power supply can handle the GPU, though I would suggest a slightly more powerful PSU.

Help,

The power supply is on the low end. You should upgrade that to a new power supply.

Here's my recommendation:

Power Supply: SeaSonic 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($55.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $55.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
