Question about CPU, which is better?

Which one of these is better? I play mostly old  games

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 CPU/SLAWE/Socket 775/6M/FSB 1333/2.5Ghz/45nm

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 CPU/SLGT6 R0/Socket 775/4MB/45nm/95W 2.66ghz

Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 3.33 GHz Dual-Core Processor

If you frame it as "which is better for old games" and ignore any other considerations, the E8600 is going to be the best performer.  This is because older games rely on single thread performance, so prefer more clock speed over more cores.  For other uses, the quad core processors may give better all round performance.
