cpu fan error press f1 to skip

hi can someone pleases help me with this error having it for a half a year its says cpu fan error press f1 to skip plus sometimes computer will shut off I tried speed fan it did not work plus I tried bios setting there is only smart fan like why is that I can even change it I tried acer e recovery did not work I tired cleaning the fan it had no dust. one more thing it's a little weird that it's says that my computer is gate way but it came as acer by time now it became gate way.

Power on Self Test has detected a CPU fan fault. Sometimes a CPU fan will fail

 

To solve that problem 

 

1. Re seat the 3 pin connector on the main board very carefully unplug the fan and replug the connector make sure it is secured 

 

2. Replace the CPU Cooler 

 

Does the CPU fan run normally because that error starts up when its starting to fail or failed.
