Sorry if this is not the correct forum.  I used to have a stable VPN working and it was from my iphone using ios 7.x to my home pc.  Then I upgraded to ios 8.3 and shazam!  No more VPN.  I researched this and found many posts about how the VPN  is busted on ios 8.x and Apple needs to fix this, it happened before in ios 6.x, yadda yadda yadda.  I now need a solution to get my iphone to connect to my home pc using a VPN so I can watch TV on my remote app.  The remote TV app has just "some" channels on wifi but using the VPN I get the entire lineup.  So, how can I set up a VPN that works?  I appreciate suggestions. I was using PPTP and yes I check my home ip with ipchicken.com and yes, ports 47 and another that I can't remember right now are open on the router using the home pc internal ip address.  I used to be able to connect in ios 7 and now in ios 8 I can't.  I still can connect using my wife's phone, a 4s and there is no upgrade to 8 for that phone so lucky me...I can connect using her phone but I have the unlimited data plan.
