Windows Xp Home Login Problem

:thumbsup: hey everyone. my name is mike and i have a dell pc with windows xp home sp2 256mb aol security Mcafee, i was checking out a malware remover(do not remember name) and it found several troyans and high security risk items so i deleted them, now when i start the pc i log in it goes to the desktop and in less than 3 seconds it goes back to the login page i tried last known good configuration and safe mode i even used techie tools antivirus nothing worked the antivirus would not recognize c drive but i boot it with a windows 98 cd and i used scandisk and it saw c dirve, please help thank you all who respond mike.........

You could try running the fixboot and fixmbr commands from the recovery console.

I tried both of the above and am experiencing the same issues any other ideas short of doing a repair install of windows??

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
