I recently came across this site: www.winanewiphone.com
Apparently they give away 12 iPhones per WEEK. That's like 6 grand per week! I'm considering to participate since I have nothing to lose, really.. Do you guys think it's legit?

I'd say it's a scam since it looks too good to be true.

Welcome to BC, young lady :)

Definitely a scam. The site owners are probably harvesting facebook likes, mail lists etc.

Or there are a bunch of hidden surveys behind that. At worst there's some malware packed in it waiting for victims.

In order to "qualify" for a free phone (or anything else) the catch is that they usually require you to accept offers from other companies for various services, such as auto insurance or subscribe to a magazine.

Usually they tell you that you must accept a certain number of those offers, for example 3.

Whether you would actually get the free phone or whatever I don't know. At the very least you may have to provide an email address which will be sold to "partners" who innundate your email with spam and junk mail.
