I'm getting the QuickSet message - Your battery has experienced a permanent failure and needs to be replaced. The system will power down when the the AC adapter is unplugged.

Do I need to update the system bios? (I don't know how?) Or is it time to buy a new battery? I have Dell Inspiron laptop, running Windows 7. If it is time to buy a new battery, do you by chance recommend a good place to buy? Thank you very much! Appreciate all your assistance!

The last two I bought off Ebay, note I only buy from vendors with near 100% rating.  One is nearly three years old still going stong.
