Wife has a recording of a Driver Safety Meeting she wants me to put on cd so the drivers can listen to it on their radio in their truck She recorded it on hew android phone.

Format is mp4. I converted it to mp3 and burnt to cd. Will not play in cd player, but will play on computer.

Curious as what I can use to make it cd player compatible.

Convert it to WAV. Most CD players do not play MP3 files off of a CD, some do, but most do not.

The way to create a disc with music/audio files such that standalone players can play those files is to create an audio(or multimedia, naming convention may change from product to product) cd or dvd instead of creating a data dvd or cd.

This is absolutely correct. A music disk must be created as a music disk and not a data disk.
