Although i use MozFox as a browser a recent attempt to run a program disk (Serif WebPlus X8) has resulted in it crashing with IE bringing a page up stating the website URL was not recognised. The techies at Serif confirmed it was an IE malware/virus problem and that they could not help other than my running anti-virus software and removing the problem or re-install IE.

I have ran my McAffee scan and ADW Cleaner and removed some stuff but problem still exists. I recently ran a HIJackThis scan and although I identified 10 IE references I can make no sense of it (I'm not brilliant at computer jargon!) and I understand I cannot attach HJT files in this forum.

Can anyone help?

Thankls for that will take a look. In the meantime I did a bit more digging and found a link to a Blinkiland problem which I also had. Have followed their long and protracted cleaning process and my computer is much faster but the problem still exists with IE and Serif. I intend returning the Serif WebplusX8 as I think it may be a compatability problem.
