Have been unable to do windows 7 updates on several machines with  new installs since Thursday of last week.

Can't find any known outage reports.

Code is always:  8024402C

Once again, system is completely clean.  New Installation.

I also try doing updates on machines that were previously doing proper updating, as recent as march 13th and they are also throwing the same code.

Have been unable to do windows 7 updates on several machines

Are these computers connected through a network?

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkbox:

• List Installed Programs

Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, copy it and paste it in your next post.

These are not networked computers.  We have access to another internet provider and also tried the updates using it.  Same error code.

One employee tried doing updates while at home.  Same error code.

So, to re-cap:

It is happening on fresh windows installs

Computers already in use with previous updates on them

Using different Internet sources

And is always the same error code

Have you tried to manually download a update?

==========

Click on the Start orb, then click on Control Panel in the startup menu.

Click on Network and Internet, then click on Internet Options.

Click on the Connections tab, then click on LAN Settings.

Under Automatic configuration, select the Automatically detect settings check box, click on OK.

==========

Programs that might cause this include firewalls, antispyware software, web accelerators, Internet security or antivirus programs. and proxy servers.  If changing the LAN settings don't resolve this issue, try disabling these one at a time.

Tried Numerous manual updates, from one update to downloading a service pack.

It must be a windows problem since we are experiencing this on so many different computers, even ones outside of our office and on different servers.
