While this monitor issue has been here many months ir doesn't affect the internals just monitor.  This computer ha developed a border around the edges of the screen. On the left and right side of the screen I lost 2 inches, on the top and bottom about one half inch. It's like looking at my screen picture framed. When I start in safe mode the screen is normal with fewer icons nevertheless, is the led corrupted ? Did I inadvertantly change screen size exploring ease of access?  Full  sceen in safe mode.

Hello there,

This sounds like a scaling issue.

1. In "Control Panel", click "Appearance and Personalization"

2. Under the Display, click "Make Text and Other Items Larger or Smaller"

3. Set the default to 0%, and then click "Apply"

4. Restart your machine for the changes to take effect.

Hopefully that resolves the issue.

the masterof machines,

I tried your suggestion and it didn't work, however while you put me into the right department I brrowsed around opening all types of links within appearance and personalization I happened upon a page asking whether I want slim border, fat border (I had that) or full screen. I clicked full screen then clicked apply and immeadiately got a full screen albeit the text is a tad smaller but manageable.

I do thank you for the interest and guidance.

I beleive the link had to do with monitor ratio. Anyway your help made my screen whole :bounce: .
