Sorry if this is not the correct place to post but was hard to tell where to post it.

I tried to open a program and got the following error message

"Component 'mscomctl.ocx' or one of it's dependenciesnot currnetly registered: a file is missing or invalid".

If someone can direct me to the correct forum or can tell me how to repair the problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, mrmahhafy

Hi mrmahaffy :)

Can you tell me which program you are trying to open that gave this error?

This is the program you are referring to, right?

Did you try reinstalling it yet?

Yes, it is. No, I haven't because I thought from what I had read, it was a MS file. Thank you, I just reinstalled and is fixed.

No problem :) Usually, these kind of errors are fixed via a reinstallation of the program. So if you ever encounter that issue again, you can try reinstalling the faulty program before trying something else.
