A friend's daughter spilled a glass of water on a laptop.  After she got the computer to me I plugged it in and found after I turned it on  that it would only stay on for a few seconds and then shut off.  It is not the hard drive as I put that into another computer and it works fine, but slower as it only has 2gbs of ram instead of 4.  Is there anyway to fix the laptop and getting is going again.

Lap tops take time to fully dry out, many survive many don't I would wait at least a week before powering it up.
