Hello all... I have a problem with my computer that I can't seem to solve. Please help me, I am getting desperate!

It seemed to start a few days ago when I was browsing Google Chrome. All of a sudden, watching youtube videos or sitting on face book would produce constant Window's Asterisk sounds with no error message. I have tired for the past week to fix it, but figured that there was a problem with the latest version of Google Chrome as I couldn't replicate the noise in firefox. So, tonight I finally uninstalled Chrome and switched over to fire fox.

Then I started one of my games up, Crysis 3 and immediatly, I started getting spammed by the Asterisk once again. I've disabled it for now, but I would rather fix the problem then to apply a bandaid solution.

I have a feeling that the issue is with a driver, and while I've reinstalled all of my sound drivers (also, my system has no malware/viruses or anything) I cannot find out for the life of me what's causing this annoying problem. Does anyone know how I can find out what's going on here?
