Hello guys

I formatted my DVD-RW disk  to run as USB.

 I have erased the file.

Now I need to reformat the disk to run as DVD.

What is the procedure please ?.

Thank you.

I have no idea what you are talking about...a DVD disk (the actual media) can only be formatted for use in an optical drive.  It can be used as a storage drive in the same manner that a hard drive is...but that involves packet-writing software.

Packet-Writing

Is this what you mean?  If not, please explain and tell us how you "reformatted to disk to run as USB".

When using Windows 7 internal burning program it asks if you would like to use the disk as a USB (packet writing).

I would use Imgburn. Be sure to opt out of any optional software during the install or use 7-zip to extract the Imgburn program file.  You will not get any sounds if you extract the program file. Then erase the disk.

Many thanks to you both.

I used the wrong term 'format'.

I should say Use as Usb, Use as Dvd.

Replies understood

Thanks
