Hi all,

I recently purchased 2 Samsung 24'' Syncmaster monitors that I wanted to use with my older Compaq PC like I am currently doing with my 3 display PC.

The PC only had 1 VGA port so I bought a USB to VGA adapter.

My issue is everything looks like it should in the display settings, extend display, both monitors are showing as Syncmaster 1 and 2 in the available devices, both have the same resolution and refresh rates... it's not my first time doing this... as far as I can tell I should have 2 screens now without issue.

But the second screen is black, no mouse can be seen when i move it to display 2 but it disappears from display one. I thought it was faulty cables so I changed them.

when I put the new cable on screen 2 ( one with the issue) the image started flickering very quickly and the mouse can be seen on the screen, but I couldnt get the image to stabilize. Could this be a faulty adapter or something I might be overlooking?

Can anyone help?

Not all systems support dual-monitors.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.
Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
Click Go and paste the content into your next post.
Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.
