Hello, I have this mouse:

https://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/sculpt-comfort-mouse

I am getting this error Code:

0x80070015

I used this mouse successfully with this machine for a few months, then I had some viruses I resolved.  Now the bluetooth devices area in Windows 7 discovers there's a mouse, but when I try to connect it provides the above code.

(I called Microsoft a couple times but the call keeps getting dropped and I am low on mins so any help is appeciated.)

What version of windows are you using?  They have various trouble shooting steps on their website.  Have you tried simply re-installing the software for the mouse?

Hello YB, thank you yes I am using Windows 7.

I will look for the troubleshooting steps, since it's Microsoft I've found it difficult to find stuff on their sites due to the wealth of content.  When you say software for the mouse, do you mean the driver that when the mouse is plugged in, Windows 7 finds automatically and installs, or something else?  (If I remember correctly, I don't think it came with a CD.)

Hello . Lets try running the system file checker repair to check for corrupted system files.  You will need your windows 7 installation disk place it in your CD rom drive and follow the directions here. -

With the windows 7 CD in your CDROM drive-

Navigate to Start>Programs>accessories>locate the command prompt icon and:

Right click on the command prompt icon and run as administrator

At the prompt type in:      sfc /scannow

Allow it to run and post back the results.  Try to pair your bluetooth device again

Thank you Sir!

I don't have the disk I don't think.  Do you know where I can get a Windows 7 disk if I have very little money?
