Hi,

windows 8.1 is  running very slow.  I want to do a repair that does not lose files or the current desktop slide show, etc.

Please advise,

Thanks,

Joe

What is the make and model of this computer?

Is this an upgrade from Windows 8?

Try doing a refresh.  This should not affect your data.

1.  Tap or click on Settings, tap or click on Change PC settings.

2.  Tap or click on Update and recovery, then tap or click on Recovery.

3.  Under Refresh your PC without affecting your files, tap or click on Get started.

4.  Follow the instruction which will appear on the screen.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
