Well, the forum says to post an introduction since I haven't posted before. I figured I might as well get around to it.

I cut my teeth in IT doing a lot of systems support, dealing with malware and desktop/laptop issues. Somewhere along the line I transitioned into network stuff, settling into a more firm systems adminstrator role(which, of course, tends to mean systems/network/apps/yadda/yadda).

I love my linux, but my rig at home is a Windows gaming/VM/entertainment environment, so I like to keep up to date on the hazards of the jungle out there.

:welcome:  You remind me of myself, I used to do primarily hardware/software (I still do some), then I sort of moved into networking. There certainly are a ton of hazards out there, ransom-ware is my largest concern most of the time.

If I am helping you with a problem and I have not responded within 48 hours please send me a PM.
