This Lenovo Laptop shows a distorted image with strange coloring on the Bios Boot, no HD or OS. Anyone ever encountered anything like this?

I have seen similar but the cause can differ. Try using an external monitor if you have the ability to do so. Try flexing the lcd panel (gently) look for any changes. Try opening the lcd panel more or closing it, go back and forth quickly and again check for changes.

You might have a bad lcd panel, bad lcd cable, video chipset issue, or ram related issue.

If you take it apart yourself, remove all power sources first, power adapter and the main battery.

Thanks Zingo. Could be 1 of many problems as I thought, just had never seen a wonky screen like that. Thanks.
