http://www.amazon.com/eforCity-336047-Computer-S-Video-Adapter/dp/B004I53ZX2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425956830&sr=8-1&keywords=av+to+vga

I have an open dvi-d port and want to use this cord plus a dvi to vga adapter to use my snes on my 19 in monitor. would it work with no lag well? i am not looking for the best quality picture possible and the resolution is 1440x900 if that helps.

Edit: I also have a VGA port i could use and just switch my pc to the dvi port but i would prefer keeping it how it is now.

From the 173 one star reviews I doubt it.  Search through the reviews and see if someone got the SNES working on it.

There is not one for under 20 dollars. You need a composite or svideo in to vga out converter Like this one to work.
