I believe I have a deep virus and whenever I try to dowload updates or install new software, the admin password nox comes up. Today, 3/4 of my icons have disappeared and my daughters himework dics have disappeared along with Pics. How do I rid computer virus?
Norton antivirus does not work.  Using Windows 7. Toshiba laptop

Are you been prompted to supply administrator password to install software if yes open "Control Panel --> User Accounts" applet to find out if the user account that you login to Windows OS is administrator account. You can scan/remove malware infection with MalwareBytes and HitmanPro programs.
