Hello All,

I am new to the site, nice to be here!!! I have an Apple iPad2 that goes black screen and returns to Home screen while trying to complete a task. Has anyone experienced this annoyance?

Edit: Topic moved from Mac OS to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Sounds like an app is crashing.

Does this happen with any app that you use? Or is it just with one specific app?

Excluding what users above me stated, I want to say you are having a kernel panic after updating your software.
Silly little bugs exist all the time, but can be fixed very easily.

In order to fix this (if its what I think it is) you need to preform a Hard Reset which can be done by:
Holding the lock & home button down at the same time.
Hold them both down until the device turns off and back on.

Let us know from there!
