I was wondering if this processor (Intel® Core i7-4810MQ Mobile Processor 2.80 GHz 6M Smart Cache, Max Turbo Freq. 3.80 GHz) would be good enough for laptop gaming?... Will I be able to play games like H1Z1, custom zombies and Counter Strike GO with minimal lag?

PC gaming is always best suited on a desktop PC, but to judge how well the games will run I would need a full list of the specs for the laptop, as it is based on the CPU, RAM and GPU

aerys, would OP have to tweak the high-quality video?  Also, adding a notebook cooling assembly help to keep laptop cool as possible?

Not sure I understand the first part, but having a secondary cooling option is always great, especially if it sits in one spot and is under a lot of load (gaming). Heat is one of the main things to shorten the life on laptops especially.

I thought Windows had some video-related tweaks that would stress performance over resource.  I have two gaming laptops [that's what the bus comp store says], and having a large cooling fan under each laptop -- well, keeps 'em cooler.

Do you normally have it on a desk or in your lap? If you keep it in your lap it can get hotter as the air doesn't circulate as well or the vents could get blocked.

There isn't really any telling how hot it will get until you start using it, but if it will be on a desk then I recommend getting a secondary fan or cooler to use with it.

I Googled "notebook cooling assembly" and Google returned several sources of external USB [mostly] assemblies with either one large cooling fan or dual cooling fans.  During backups I even add a Walmart 5" AC fan aimed at the proc corner.  I mention cooling 'cause one of my two laptops run hotter than the other laptop.  It even shut down without warning during nonGame events.

In order to answer your questions you need to post the make and model of this computer.
