I am trying to install Nero 12 after a factory re-install. I keep getting this message about half way "Data Error ( cyclic redundancy check)".
Any help appreciated. T.I.A.

Are you installing from a disc or a USB stick?

It is possible that your install disc has been damaged since you last used it. If you have a valid install key you can download the full up to date v12 from here -

People forget how easy it is to damage a CD or DVD, especially data ones. Music CDs and players for example use error correction software which extrapolates from the music that has just been played. I saw a demonstration once of a music CD which had four radial slots cut in it and to the ear it sounded perfect. You can't do this with data - just because the last four bits were 0110 does not mean that the next four will be 0110 !

Glad it worked for you. I would be inclined to copy the install software to disc or some other form of back up against possible future use.
