Hi

! This is very important !: Update your Windows. Doing this will make your computer more secure. Please visit Windows Update (follow this link: http://www.windowsupdate.com) to update Windows. Follow the instructions on the screen. You may have to visit more then once Windows Update to install all updates.
Not updating Windows will leave your computer vulnerable to malware and attacks.

Install Service Pack 1 and all critical updates.

After the installation of the last update make sure you REBOOT the computer, run HijackThis again and post a new log please.

You are running HijackThis from a temp folder. You will need to move hijackthis.exe to a permanent folder, such as c:\hjt . This has to be done as HijackThis creates backups when you fix items. These backups could easily get deleted in a temporary folder.

First create a new folder:
A. Click My Computer icon on your desktop
B. Click C: drive
C. Click the File menu --> New --> Folder, a folder "New folder" will be created.
D. Rename it HJT

Unrar hijackthis.exe to the c:\HJT folder.
Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?

I've changed my web browser to Mozilla's Firefox. Should that matter? I've also had a friend look into the log and helped me out. So far i havent had any problems. Here is a new scan. Please let me know if there is still anything wrong and if i should still continue with the windows update even after using Mozilla. Thanks

I've changed my web browser to Mozilla's Firefox. Should that matter?

Not very much ...

I've also had a friend look into the log and helped me out.

Please follow my instructions. Thank you

Read this about Viewpoint Media Player and decide if you want to keep it or not: Viewpoint Media Player.

Please uninstall Viewpoint Media Player from Add\Remove Programs.
Removing Viewpoint Media Player may cause the program that bundled it to not function as intended.
About Viewpoint Media Player.

Please print or copy these instructions because you are not able to access the Internet in SafeMode.

Make sure you are set to show hidden files and folders:
A. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
B. Click the View tab.
C. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
D. Uncheck Hide extensions for known filetypes and Hide protected operating system files.
How to see hidden files in Windows

REBOOT into SafeMode by tapping F8 key repeatedly at bootup: Starting your computer in Safe mode

Run HijackThis!, press Scan, and put a check mark next to all these:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysMon] C:\windows\system32\mswkcbz32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [xactsrv] C:\WINDOWS\System32\xactsrv.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kbdnec] C:\WINDOWS\System32\kbdnec.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kbdal] C:\WINDOWS\System32\kbdal.exe

O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/25df65cbd77a55...ip/RdxIE601.cab

Close all other windows and browsers, and press the Fix Checked button.

Search for these files and delete them if found:
C:\windows\system32\mswkcbz32.exe <-- this file
C:\WINDOWS\System32\xactsrv.exe <-- this file
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kbdnec.exe <-- this file
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kbdal.exe <-- this file

Empty the Recycle Bin.

REBOOT normally.

Perform a full scan here: Trendmicro, check AutoClean and let him remove anything he finds.

Run HijackThis! again and post a new log please.
Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?
