Hello,

In chapter 5 in Half-Life, after passing the tripwire-Vortigaunt room, I could just not regenerate health anymore. I've tried restarting it and loading from an earlier save state but still nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Are you running Half-Life (Not HL2) through Steam or directly from CD's?

Steam should have all the update/patches but an original CD may not.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

Through steam. If I had an original disk I'd already be selling it on Ebay :thumbup2: .

Thanks for responding.

Hmm...

I guess the next question would be something like "are you using all of the current drivers for your system?"

*goes off to check eBay to see how much the original disks are selling for*

All my drivers are up to date, although I do need a new battery as it doesn't seem to have enough power for the GPU. And before you say that for some weird reason the HUD is frozen as an emergency GPU procedure, I'll tell you that my health display will still go down when I lose health in the game.

Never mind the discs, they only are about $30 bucks. I checked it out.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't want to have to wait an hour to reinstall it and get all the way back to chapter 5. :)
