I thought most monitors were plug and play. I bought a 21in crt monitor from a goodwill computer center and when I put it on my xp computer it would not install. Like it works but just says default monitor on "agp card" you know. So programs that rely on the resolution to operate cant tell what resolution the monitor is set on and so they do not work right or at all.

I have tried un-installing it and plugging it in again but it does not work.

Its a compaq 21 in crt p110 monitor. Its a great monitor but it does not install. Can someone find me a driver or help me get it to working on my computer?

I went to the compaq and hp websites without any luck in finding a "driver". They did have this "control" panel thing of some sort but it wasnt a driver to make it work on the computer.
Thanks

I have installed the driver and restarted my pc several times and well it still says deafault monitor. What do I have to do to make it install and reconize my monitor? Hook another up let it find it then install my new one and restart?
I have even removed it from the hardware list several times...
