AVG is repeatedly picking up adware and slow computer

About once per day AVG will detect two adwares.  It quarentines them and they won't come back for a while.  I cannot remember the name of them.

 

Also, the computer is slow, especially at browsing.  There have been multiple attempts to update flash even though we just got the newest version from adobe.

I forgot to mention, running Windows XP SP3 and AVG Internet Security.
