On a Dell laptop with Vista how do I set up a password on start up?

Hi William :)

 

You can easily add a password to your user account by going in the Control Panel, Users Accounts and Family Safety, then click on User Accounts. Select your account then click on "Create a password". Enter your password twice (to confirm it), then add a little "hint" that will pop-up if you ever fail to enter it correctly. Once done, click on Ok/Apply and you'll be done.
