my friend has a macbook,he has windows 7 on it,he spillt coffee on it,but now its working fine but there is a horizontal line on the left of the screen its its about25mm wide,is this a motherboard issue? can it be fixed

Sounds like it is most likely a hardware issue.

Can it be fixed? Almost definitely, but it will likely be expensive.

You can run the Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostics (if Mac is newer than June 2013) on it. See this page for instructions:

Your other option is to take it to an Apple Store...assuming there is one reasonably close to you.
