Would appreciate some assistance..   :)

When a computer starts, a splash screen is normally seen for a few seconds. It displays the computer manufacturer's logo and information on the keys to enter the BIOS Setup, etc.

In a dual boot situation, Linux installed after Windows, is this splash screen displayed before the Grub screen appears? Or, does the aforementioned splash screen  appear when only Windows is installed (not in dual boot)?

Thanks for your help.

It should  still appear before grub as you know when you turn on a PC its kind of like this. Power button> BIOS ( with option to enter BIOS Eg F8 ) > Bootloader > Operating System.

Thanks, NickAu!!

That is what I thought, but wanted to make sure my memory served me right.

Have a couple of laptops with dual boot (Linux and Windows), but have them loaned out, and cannot check what comes up first.

Have a great day!!  :hello:
