I unistalled avira through normal ways but remnants as  well as registry were left over.   Cant find an  uninstall app to  remove these.
Seems to me that any decent antivirus program would have such help.   Could you please help
me. I've been at this for weeks now.

Edit: Topic moved from Windows 8 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

On THIS PAGE ...the following instructions are provided by Avira.

  • A click with the right mouse button in the lower left corner of your “Start” screen (Windows-button + x) will bring up the new Window Quick Access Menu. Once the Quick Access Menu is displayed click on Programs and Features
  • Search the Avira product, click with the right mouse button on it and select Uninstall
  • Confirm the following product uninstall notification with Yes
  • Confirm the activation of the Windows Firewall with Yes
  • The Avira Setup will take some minutes to uninstall the product
  • Confirm the notification to restart your system with Yes
  • After the reboot of your PC the Avira product is completely removed

@Picolo you can download revo uninstaller from www.ninite.com. Simply click on the program or application you want to uninstall and follow the instructions from there. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Just keep in mind that Revo does not always show the same entries as Programs and Features.
