Hi everyone. This is my first time posting. My Avira antivirus software has detected the TR/Trash.gen in my computer and it keeps blocking the exe files that are being generated. So, I've come here to see what I should do to completely eradicate it.

First of all - welcome to BC !

Second - go and start a topic in the 'Am I infected' section giving details of your computer, what you believe you are infected with and detailing what steps you have taken to date.

Chris,

Thank you for your reply and for the welcome to the forums. I did what you suggested and I started a topic under the 'Am I infected' section. The title of the topic begins with the name of the trojan TR/Trash.gen. I included as much information as possible about the situation, about my system and what steps I did in response to the problem.

Tom
