I had my pc working till my kid tried to open up with wrong password and now it says no bootable device--restart system

It's quite likely the hard drive is failing or has failed. It may be possible to repair/restore the operating system, but you may end up having to replace the hard drive.


Do you have a recovery disk, or is there a recovery partition on the computer?


What is the make and model of the computer?
