Mod Edit:  Split from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/568476/toshiba-laptop-screen-flickers-badly/ - Hamluis.

I recently purchased a monitor for a Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5230 that runs Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. It looked really fuzzy, and when I investigated, the monitor indicated that the resolution, which can go up to 1920x1080, was too low coming from the laptop. But long excursions through both the Toshiba and AMD sites for an update to its AMD E1-1200 only presented drivers they said were designed for Windows 8.1.

Any idea  how to get the proper driver for this Satellite AMD that works with Win 7 64-bit?

Many thanks. This is a dog chasing its tail mission for me.

Thank you. One follow-up:  Is there a way to quickly determine if the NET4 Framework is already installed? The AMD site you pointed me to says it's required for the Catalyst Control Center
