Recently Noticed that the permissions on all of the folders under C:\\Program Files and C:\\Program Files(x86) are all gone.

Viewing the Security Tab displays:

No permissions have been assigned for this object.

Warning: this is a potential security risk because anyone who can access this object can take ownership of it. The objects owner should assign permissions as soon as possible.

I have tried to go in and assign permissions but I get errors am denied even when I log on as the admin.

Win 7 x64
Avast up to date
Tried a few scanners but nothing was detected.

Any Ideas

Alternatively, you could use Windows Repair All-In-One and check the Reset Folders Permissions case then run it to reset the permissions on every files and folders to their defaults :)
