Mathew John Hutchison, allegedly part of the Anonymous charged with the revenge hacking of Australian intelligence agency websites ASIO and ASIS.

Australian police produced Mathew John Hutchison at Melbourne Magistrates Court this week and charged him of egging and abetting Indonesian hackers to attack the websites of Australian Signals Directorate (ASIO) and ASIS.

Hutchison is believed to belong to the Australian chapter of Anonymous hacker collective and was taking part a operation by Indonesian hackers against Australia after a news surfaced that Australian embassy in Jakarta was allegedly used for spying on Indonesian citizens including its President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

The Snowden leaks which were published by Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and Guardian Australia in November 2013 stated that Australian intelligence tracked Yudhoyono’s mobile phone for 15 days in August 2009, monitoring the calls he made and received.

Seems like slanted media. As far as I read it says the suspect urged Anon Indonesia not to attack the Australian people but target the government groups they were angry at, or else. This is hardly aiding and abetting.

Seems that they are just looking for a scapegoat to flog in the square for all to see.
