Oy!
My HP Win7 was getting reeealy slow (especially Firefox) and I found ComboFix in a websearch. It seems to have done the trick so I thought I'd say "Thanks!" and jump on in.

That's great it fixed your problems. :)
 
However, you may want to read this thread by quietman7 about the dangers of running it without supervision.
