  Hello to all,

My computer was acting strangely, so I poked around a bit and found a file named < raptrstub.exe >. I queried Google and came up with more questions than when I started.

So I am where I probably should have started from in the first place.

Can someone please tell me if I should search and destroy or use a repair tool offered by various sources to "fix it".

                                                                                      Thanking you in advance,

                                                                                       Dave Russell, (AKA  newagedavey)

Hello that looks like the executable file for Raptr Desktop App.

To remove it, you need to remove Raptr in Control Panel / Uninstall.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

 Hello boopme,

Thank you for your swift response. Do you know where this originates from? Is it malware, and would it cause trouble left as is? I realize you are probably busier than a one armed painter with fleas, and you have already answered my question, but any info that you may offer would be appreciated.

                                                                                      Thanks again,

                                                                                       Dave Russell

Raptr is packaged with AMD drivers (the Catalyst installer), so I wouldn't be surprised if you installed AMD drivers straight from AMD website lately, or it pushed you Raptr throught one of Catalyst automatic update.
